Oh lawd. When did that curly haired cutie pie that loved mustard sandwiches more than anything, turn into such a tall, handsome, funny, charming young man? Seriously. When?! And yes, mustard sandwiches are just that – mustard and bread. This senior session was very near & dear to me being that it is my “little cousin”, who turns out isn’t so little anymore. Wahhhhhhhh. When did I grow up? Despite the initial shock of photographing Austin who graduates next Spring, it was my favorite senior session ever. Wanting to create photos that really represented who Austin is we set out on our family cattle farm for a few hours of driving old dirt roads, crossing creeks, stopping at barns & the steps that are all that’s left of our grandparents homeplace. This is where we grew up, it’s apart of who we are. Austin is an avid hunter, fisher, all-around outdoorsmen, football linebacker, baseball player – so the outdoors is his element. I am so proud of the fine gentlemen he has become & I know without a doubt that his future is so bright. I am so honored to have had this opportunity…even if it did make me feel old !
