Adventures in Film: Tina’s Bridals | Virginia Wedding Photography

I just wanted to share a few film scans from Tina’s bridal session that I posted a few weeks ago. I took along my Canon Rebel 35mm, a roll of Kodak Ultra 400 & a few rolls of 200 evidence film. I have been playing around with film, especially since I acquired a few cartons from a friend who was going to toss them! In fact, I believe a few of the rolls are expired but since I’m just having fun with it I figured it was no biggie. What is a biggie are the processing costs, so as much as I love love love the scans I have gotten back from Richard Pro Photo Lab and Indie Film Lab from the Style Collaborative session, I just cannot justify paying serious money (or patiently waiting) right now when I’m just tinkering. So these were developed at CVS. 1 hour. Less than $6 for developing + a CD. They are a bit more grainy than usual, perhaps due to the 200 film rather than the developing. There is definitely a difference in the processing & colors compared to the labs that specialize in film developing now, but I love them none the less. And they are my very beautiful newly married friend. Who I love even more.

Abby Grace - I love the one of her walking away up the gravel road!

Ashley Goodwin - OOOooo I like the grain! The two at the bottom and the close up portrait of her looking down are my favorite!

Becca - Pretty, pretty, pretty! But then, what else would we expect from you?
